Inspiring positive change one step at a time

ENGAGING IN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

We love doing what we do! The great thing about helping people and organisations unlock potential is that we are always working with others in areas where they are passionate and want to grow. What does this have to do with sustainable development you may ask?

Sustainability is looking beyond the short-term gains of money, influence and power. It stems from a value-driven approach to bring equality into the world, an equality that balances the constantly changing demands between the four pillars of economic, environmental, societal and cultural forces. For many of us, making a difference in the world is far more meaningful, fulfilling and inspiring than any traditional career goal.

Together, we can make positive change, overcome challenges, and shape a sustainable future.

Supporting SME’s to Kickstart Sustainability Projects

Sustainable development is rooted in proactively understanding the needs of a company’s stakeholders – including inanimate objects like printer ink and trees! Grounded in Design Thinking, Outlander Consulting has developed an approach that interactively maps out a company’s stakeholders and subsequently recognises, understands and then engages with them by means of exploring new sustainable-orientated initiatives.

Examples of themes covered during consultation projects may include:

Mapping out your company’s stakeholders

Utilising ‘Empathy Mapping’ to understand your stakeholders’ key needs

Revising your ‘Value Proposition’ to communicate with your stakeholders

Employing Design Thinking to develop new and creative initiatives

Project example

Road Safety – Tony Yang
