10-day China residential for globally leading E-MBA programme

Design and organise a 10-day residential schedule for US-based EMBA programme in Shanghai and Suzhou region. The aim was to meet and learn from key players in the omni-channel supply chain in areas of (i) automotive, (ii) consumerables producer, and (iii) manufacturing, and ultimately be enveloped within the context of doing business in China.

1-month training for 108 managers pre-embarking on overseas business

To support efforts of internationalisation and sustainable growth, CRRC is committed to training 10,000 employees as a component of China’s 13th Five Year Plan. For the 4th year of cooperation, this programme was designed to equip training participants with core communication skills needed when leading teams in an international context. The programme objectives included (i) developing ability to recognise core business topics from both China and Western perspectives, (ii) reinforcing core skillsets for managing cross-cultural business relationships, (iii) improving participant cultural awareness and interpersonal skills, and (iv) ensuring all training participants can clearly and confidently communicate in English.

The programme focused on achieving the core aims of (i) meeting key Government representatives, (ii) visiting key players across full rail supply chain, from manufacturing, supplying to operating, (iii) learning from top rail consulting and research institutions about major factors impacting sector going forward.

From the beginning of 2021, Outlander Consulting has been providing mentorship services to over 30 Junior Consultants from 7 countries. Averagely aged at 24, all of the consultants share the experience of having joined a new entity since the start of Covid-19 related lockdowns. All of them are working for entities overseas and therefore have cultural differences compounding the challenges of remote working.
